I didn’t leave corporate because I had it all figured out.
I left because I couldn’t ignore the pull any longer, that holy discontent that whispered, “You were made for MORE”.
From the outside, I had the dream: six figures, leadership, a “good job.”
But behind the scenes? I was burnt out, frustrated, and spiritually dry.
I knew God was calling me higher, but I had no idea what that Next Level looked like.
Leaving without a Spirit-led plan sent me into one of the most humbling, refining seasons of my life.
I didn’t just struggle with clarity or confidence. I wrestled with identity.
I felt like a failure. I battled depression. I questioned everything.
And to make it worse?
I fell into shiny object syndrome, clinging to quick wins instead of God’s wisdom.
I let pride (Independent Woman syndrome)convince me I could figure it out alone.
I built things He never told me to build… and they crumbled.
But God! ♥
In His kindness, He let me unravel so He could rebuild me, from the inside out.
What felt like a breakdown was really a divine realignment.
In that hidden season, He stripped away the striving. I had to heal, release, and surrender, especially the pride that kept me trying to do it all on my own and in my own strength.
He reminded me that I wasn’t meant to do this alone.
He brought me back to what I’d been running from all along: Technology…The very tool I’d been gifted (over 20+ years experience) to steward and teach.
Even after I left corporate, I ended up building and teaching computer programming at a nonprofit.
I thought I was just helping. Turns out, I was still in training. That nonprofit eventually lost funding, but God was still directing my steps.
“Commit your works unto the Lord, and your plans will be established.” – Proverbs 16:3
Now, I’m walking fully in my assignment.
